Just like runners prepare their muscles for a run, speakers can benefit greatly from warming up their voice before engaging in verbal communication. Imagine going for a run without first warming up your legs. It could lead to stiffness, reduced performance, and even injury. Likewise, speaking is a physical activity, and neglecting to warm up your voice can hinder your vocal performance and put unnecessary strain on your vocal folds.
Within a society that frequently pushes us to conform, the phrase "Be yourself" emerges as a powerful message advocating for people to be genuine. However, this is such a vague statement that can be puzzling for many. What exactly does it mean to truly "be yourself"? As we decipher this complex phrase, we will look into themes of self-assurance, individual values, and how we can rediscover our inner selves.

At the heart of this is a choice between two powerful concepts: a fixed mindset and an open (or growth) mindset.
As you start learning a new language, it's common to notice that native speakers seem to talk faster than your mind can process. But this isn't a reflection of your proficiency in the language, it's just a reflection of the rhythm in the language itself. Conversational speeds differ greatly from person to person, with some speaking at a more leisurely pace while others generally speak faster. However, whilst there are people who talk slower or faster than others, the speed of the language is always one to focus on and there are some languages that are spoken faster than others.
